If you beleive in CYCC take a look at the CYCCP - they are the convertible prefereds - better way to "invest" in CYCC if you actually are investing and this isnt just a trade.
Thanks, yes I should consider those. I usually keep my investments pretty simple and just stick with long positions on common stocks but I will take a look at the preferreds.
As far as my interest in CYCC, my position is more of an intermediate-term investment. I don't do short-term trades and I really don't do longer-term investments. I like to play the in-between moves. My goal is to see CYCC get to at least a $50 million market cap (a double from current levels). I don't think those are ridiculous expectations given the results of sapacitabine so far and the fact that sapacitabine is oral and has the chance to be the first oral drug for AML/MDS. It's an interesting story. I believe either a partnership or other investors becoming more interested in the story could push the stock to a $50 million market cap or higher. It doesn't take much to move a $25 million market cap. Regardless, I will more than likely be completely out of my position in a year or so when they announce Phase 3 results for sapacitabine. There's way too much risk for me in holding through those results as sapacitabine is so critical to the CYCC story.
