My guess is that the number “12” is a clerical error.
Agree that that is a substantial probability - since the clinical trials writeup is sloppy (e.g. the endpoint I posted is not in agreement with the text for the primary endpoint). BUT given that 12 weeks as the SVR timeframe was in common usage prior to ribavirin, I think there is some chance that it is real.
