Bambino, a lot of that "going concern" talk is akin to safe harbor statements that companies add to PR's. I would not be too worried about that statement.
In regard to the loss reported, that was in the midst of the changeover and revamp of the web site I believe, so again, it is a pretty safe bet to assume better numbers this Q to offset some of the previously stated numbers. Many posters here have used VERY conservative sub growth numbers to substantiate steady advancement, hence a better looking P/L statement. If those "conservative" forecasts turn out to be higher growth numbers it will be that much better. As Sentinel has posted before (and I can't remember his exact words) a headline to a PR saying "GnF reports 250% gain over last quarter" Eye catching indeed.
As far as the price war goes, it's my feeling that we are responsible for this price war. Maybe not TOTALLY responsible but we are becoming a boil on the butt of nflx. We are creeping in to their backyard and they are taking notice that we offer more for less. We aren't going to get rich overnight as many impatient invstors desire, but I think my X mas next year is gonna be a heck of a lot better than this years.
There is plenty of room for another player, (GnF) for that matter, there is room for several more players. With our operating costs we don't need to show the huge numbers nflx to in order to post significant revenue gains.
This isn't going to be an overnight process but look for better numbers this Q, increasing to even stronger numbers come 10K time, then and only then we can start to really begin creating valuation figures for GnF that has some meat on the bone. By then we will be in business for a year. Pretty darn good progress in my opinion, for opening up shop and getting all they have gotten done in a little over 12 months. A couple KEY things are going to change this company dramatically, one being a couple more dist. centers and the other being getting off the BB and on to the AMEX. With the progress they have made, and the goals the company has set, staying a "going concern" is a non issue to me. Of course that's only MY opinion, but I do believe others would be in agreement with me, perhaps slightly different time frames than I have suggested, but nevertheless, in agreement.
