Not according to ACHN management based on mcbio's post. I'm not an ACHN shareholder so I'm taking mcbio's word about what was stated.
Separately, management very clearly indicated that ACHN is willing to move forward on its own into Phase 2 with ACH-1625 if they are unable to strike the right partnering deal. They implied that the company has the funds to do that because a Phase 2 trial won't be as expensive as a Phase 3 trial.
With partnering you cant control the timing, so when time is of the essence financing is nearly 100% certainty. When the alternative is having paychecks bounce its funny how easy the decision can be.
