What difference would waiting a few more months or even a year have made, while working on gaining partners
"So sanctions didn't work for 12 years and according to the Deullfer report, sdaam ahd the will and knowledge to reinstitute his wmd program within months and you say kick back and wait some more. You are the "insane and arrogant and fascist" one.
I bet you were one of the ones this week whining about the supposed missing explosives. 1,000,000 tons of explosives and mumitions in the hands of a terrorist murdering dictator with hate for our country is not something that concerns you?"
Reinstate his WMD programs with weapons inspectors constantly monitering activity? How, with revolving mobile weapons labs, constantly staying one move ahead of inspectors? Gee, that'd be a neat trick.
As far as the missing explosives, I do think it speaks to how underprepared/understaffed we were going into this affair, though I am fair-minded enough to recognize that nothing goes "perfect" in any war effort. Also in the interest of full disclosure, anything that puts the heat under Mr. Do-No-Wrong's ass and lessens the likelihood of his reelection is fine with me. I am sure you feel the same in regards to Mr. Kerry. In this winner-take-all political death match, any perceived advantage will be seized upon by the other side. (Or am I wrong to suggest that Republican operatives would stoop to this type of bald and tawdry opportunism...?)
"GW Inc. simply willed us to believe through constant drumming into the brain of the national psyche?
There we go again, Bush transformed from bumbling idiot to mastermind svengali. You can't deal with the fact that the majority of Americans feel the way he does, not the way you do."
I can deal with it--I don't like it, but I can deal with it. It just speaks in part to how much damage this man has done in a little less than 4 years, to influence so many weak-minded lemmings through his low-level pandering, fear-mongering and "faith-based" pablum. Not that I subscribe any remarkable mind-bending powers to Incurious George, but rather I speak to the general dumbing down of our citizenry, as regards their ability to question authority and think and act for themselves.
"Our safety, our liberty, depends upon preserving the Constitution of the United States as our fathers made it inviolate. The people of the United States are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution."
-Abraham Lincoln
