Here are the ones that I use
1 - the people who have given up much to work for him and for our country -- and always show him great respect -- Powell, Rumsfeld, Rice, Cheney -- none of these need the job, none (except maybe Rice), have political ambitions
2 - We are in a war and Bush is a fighter pilot -- he comes across as a warrior, and there is no question in the minds of our enemies that their days are numbered with him as CIC
3 - He is a master politician, has been in politics all his life -- he gets what he can from congress, has learned that the dems cannot be trusted, watched his father get steamrolled by dems when trading his "read my lips" pledge far a tax increase/spending cuts deal with feckless dems -- he will not make those mistakes
4 - With a landslide mandate, has the opportunity to
- slash the tax code to a modified flat tax
- Fix SS to insure that the system is solvent
- Get an energy policy that insures continued growth of our GDP
- Get some market forces working on health care costs -- cap obscene tort law suits that are costing us all hugh sums
5- He is a good man and his wife likes him
