A few weeks ago Cheney said a Kerry win would encourage terror attacks on the US; so we should vote for Bush.

Now the spin is since Osama is talking about terror attacks if Bush wins, we should vote for Bush to show how tough we are.

i have been thinking the reverse. the election is close only because each of the candidates are so bad. If each is bad, then either is also not much worse than the other. if neither is much worse or much better, then it will make little difference.
