I like the fact that Obama made a decision on a goal, a strategy, and a time table, none of which Bush was willing to do.

Will it work? I hope so, but who knows? We trust our commander in chief to make the right decisions - if he does or does not, history will judge it in retrospect. On the other hand, if a president can't make a decision at all, then all he is remembered as is a lousy president.

I'm not sure just yet. I'm sure we don't get all the information needed to make a educated guess. I do know this, if somebodies making money it's hard to put an end to it. Pretty sure somebody is. I don't know what we win by staying except for more casualties, more debt and a bad rebuilding plan. My gut feeling (Bush lol) says support the troops, bring them home. So I guess I don't agree with the surge...there...

it takes a lot of guts to do what he did ...he may have risked a second term...dems are not like repubs, never have been - they fight .......they express their anger and dismay and they WILL come against their president as you and I have all ready seen all around the blogosphere .. .fights & splits for a least a week.. still ongoing . No consensus yet. there may not be until ...... until.... what ?

I feel bad. I feel bad that this president's dreams have been smashed also. I don't believe any of that crap that 'obama =s bush' .. never have. The people who push that 'meme' are just trying to make 'bush' look better. never happen .. never.

I hate it ...NOT surprised by it, how could I be ? I remember nato and our military asking bush for more troops time and time again and of course always crickets ... just another pile of elephant crap, I pray for a better outcome.

I do not believe in this 'secret cabal' crap running the country and people being 'owned' by such and thus ... therefore, I believe he is sincere.

The military is all volunteer. for that I am thankful.

I do hope they sell bonds or a tax or something !!! .........I think the cost of the thing has been so hidden for so long ...I want us to ALL take part in it some how.

.. it just sucks, that's all. I've never known dems to celebrate war, in my lifetime .....so I'm sure not surprised we still continue to NOT support wars .

I realize this all sounds convoluted ... and it is.
