While QCOM is king of 3g, doesn't appear that QCOM has a defense against 4g (WIFI, WIMAX). They beat GSM, took control of 3g, but lost control of 4g. They are not a player in that. No patents. No chip designs. Also, the current founder CEO and Chair, is ready to retire over 70 years old!

If so that would explain why the stock is gapping down.

I would stay away on this dip, until it stops.
