If NG elicits a negative reaction "right now", that's a temporary post commodity crash phenomenon, and if I had to take a stab at it, was an expensive contrivance to take the wind out of Russia's political and financial powerplay. Industry must have NG to operate and even if we find alternative ways to power transportation and home heating, retrofitting the manufacturing sector to solar/wind/alternative fuels globally is not going to happen anytime soon, imho. Russia wants to control the Balkans again and even dominate Europe if they could. NG is their ace in the hole. Germany doesn't dare piss off the Russians even now. If the Russians were anything but a bunch of thugs it wouldn't be such a bad situation, but they are and it is. The point is that NG is a very very important commodity.
