I was there at the beginning...it has always been around as WM, but just wasn't that active until the seizure. Then on Monday Sept 29th, 2008 I believe it became WAMUQ. That was the first day I bought, 100K shares at .03 or so... We were very active for about 2 - 3 months, everyone thought a settlement would be announced any weekend like when Bear Sterns was seized.

And things were looking very good, JPM was even going to give the 4.4 Billion back. Then the FDIC stepped in and everything went to heck.

JHD! Excellent! IMO - POST OF THE YEAR!!! This board thinks that it has exclusive knowledge of the entire WAMU story! Whatever is posted is deemed gold (especially if the settlement prediction is NOW and $24), and IN CAPS!

We have no clue as to what is going on behind the scenes! We read the MORS and court docs and get a warm tingly feeling, but who knows?

I may be playing devils advocate as to your post so forgive me! I have always admired your posts as they are as sound and even handed as they come!

well its not exclusive,many of my friends dont even know about this board and are strong holders,i just stumbled accross this site after i aleady owned the pqs, thats what every 1 i know holds, but i like the payoff better on the uqs

JHD, I think you miss read or miss understood his post, we don't think we have exclusive knowledge of the situation, but as investors it our personal responsibility to understand what we have invested in. There has been a ton of DD done on the board and on the Y board over the last year. But with all of the info out there the majority of the country still does not know what happened here. You're in the NW (I believe) how many people in that area are still misinformed? They will stay that way until the mainstream media find the courage to tell the story. So do we on this board have exclusive knowledge? If you where to say that only 1% of the country has any understanding of this case, and we're part of that 1% (which is a very high percentage IMO) then we do have exclusive knowledge. Do the Lawyers, and CEO's and accounts involved have a better understanding of what going on? Absolutely. If there is public information out there, I know without a doubt, no matter how deep it's buried someone on this board or the Y board will find,and post it.

But your right, the whole world just heard the news that Wamu fell and thats it - everyone has moved on, they dont even know whats going on between chase and wamu. If word gets out JPM will most certainly give a settlement offer QUICK! if you know what i mean...
