What if there is something in the IPOD that infringes on EDIGs patents?

It sure would be interesting to see what happens.

On another note, I was in a COMP USA in Long Beach, CA yesterday and say a TREO 15 and it was WHITE - right next to the IPOD. Of course my daughter reaches for the IPOD to play with!

That would be great planning on EDIGs part. I can't imagine the idea of a lawsuit hadn't popped into their heads during the design process.

What would make an even greater stroke of genius would be if they never even intended to market this look-a-like design (I've seen some comments saying that the Odyssey picture looks like a digitally modified mockup), and just used it to get publicity as you said. All the while, the asian factories are pumping out the real, distinctive Odyssey 1000 for rollout in September. That way we'd get everything, the exposure, no worries about a lawsuit, and no losses from inventory/parts that would have to be scrapped in a redesign.
