Well i just wrote that to throw Paula a bone to mitigate what i had otherwise said:)
But i would say that the generation i come from could make sacrifices and the generation before me even greater sacrifices.
Except for the constant poor that have never have known affluence, the middleclass overall in this country is on a drunken binge of toys and more toys, how?, instant credit.
I have serious doubts the middle class generation since, the parents and their children, can handle hardtimes, even know what they are; and freak at any suggestion they may happen because "they don't like negativety" in their good vibes thinking addiction.
I grew up with a family that went from poor to upper middle class, almost stinkin' rich.
I played in alley ways when young and when older was amongst the rich---that is why i am leftwing---i loved the kids of my early years, when i got amongst the rich i learned meaning, the real meanings of phony, pretension and shallow.
If i wanted a car, however, i had to earn every cent.
And when i was in college i was expected and did work in a steel mill during the summers.
I played in alley ways when young and when older was amongst the rich---that is why i am leftwing---i loved the kids of my early years, when i got amongst the rich i learned first hand the real meanings of phony, pretension and shallow.
