interesting .. . I read somewhere not too long ago, maybe a month or so .. that in Iraq .. .. they had taken
down concrete barriers etc.. . and the people were coming out and shopping AGAIN together .. etc.. .

tenuous but better than being walled up ...

btw, we were the ones who put up the concrete ...

that is when things were really really bad there - killings, bombings every day ... each other - OH ! the saddest thing I ever witnessed .........afraid to wake up every morning to find out how many more people had been killed ...

It still goes on ... sigh - but there has been some reduction of the violence ... they have taken their country back now, with all their own problems and it, yes, well it's better ..

they are the ones who are responsible now - not us ..

We are not in the cities, they moved us out ... or the SOFA agreement did and troops have come home or are being - re-directed .. OR ... . getting ready to go to Afghanistan ...
