Those are the figures I took from the WMI document "Schedule 14a". (Linked Below) TPG the COMPANY owns the 227m but the other "Institutional Investors" that came WITH TPG held the additional shares.

Also note that the section referenced in my previous post, in "Schedule 14a" includes is directed towards 2 separate groups under the proxy vote item. One is for "TPG Investors" the other is for "Institutional Investors".

This is further supported in the "Answer" (first line):
"Answer: On April 7, 2008, the Company entered into (i) an Investment Agreement (the “Investment Agreement”) with affiliates of TPG Capital (the “TPG Investors”) and (ii) Securities Purchase Agreements (the “Securities Purchase Agreements”) with a number of institutional investors (the “Institutional Investors” and, together with the TPG Investors, the “Investors”) including certain of our largest shareholders."
