Nothing was wrong with your post, I hope my response was not construed as me thinking such. As for August 14, I may be wrong, but I think that two weeks before those "signatures", those close to the "guilty corporate entities" always know ahead of us, and thus that event should be fully reflected in the current prices and the technical action. Maybe the "sigh" of relief (remember the fear of Y2K and the market's sigh of relief when nothing happened, it gave us a grand major top in March 2000) will be what propels the market beyond 1550 late in August. Mind you, most of those confessions, if they are to come, will come as "warnings" during late September, when the "guilty parties" announce the "write offs" to be reported during October. Of the influential stocks, MU reports ahead of the crowd and it may be quite interesting to watch it here to get an inkling as to the kind of confessions they are going to make (g).
