I think you are right since there are common shareholders - such as TPG - that lost a lot of their investment and WMI has also received a lot of support from its shareholders since bankruptcy.
Yes it is heinous when a single entity - JPMORGAN - gains billions at the expense of thousands of WMB and WMI employees, bondholders, shareholders and creditors.
It is stunning that a branch of government could be so heartless.
