I agree. Just took a good look at INTC. Once that thing gets through the $16 range, there's nothing but air until below $10. Seems to me Da Boyz are not going to watch one of their favorites go to single digits without a titanic distribution ... er ... I mean battle.
I also think that when they cut the NAZ loose, they'll ramp the SOX as hard as they can. That's pretty much the norm anyway, but a lot of the big funds are going to have to distribute HUGE quantities of INTC before the next plunge, so they're going to want Smelly up as high as they can pump.
For just that reason, I'm thinking of going heavily into SMH, (for those not familiar, that's a semiconductor basket-stock/ETF/thingy), rather than a Rydex Velocity type thing. I figure the "top" chippies will move 150% as fast as the NDX -- okay, that's just a WAG -- so the potential gain is a bit less, but, IMHO, the liquidity advantage of the SMH more than offsets the difference.
