The Kurds had no problem with the Acquisition. It was the Iraq central government that was contesting the legality of those countries that were brought into assist with extracting oil in their province. The central government did not kick anybody out of Kurdistan because the $$ went first into the central governments coffers. The last I heard the Central government was withholding payment from those companies that were producing in Kurdistan. Should be interesting to see how that all shakes out. I would think that the US and US Big Oil are involved somewhere behind the scenes in trying to squeeze the Chinese out of any further bids on Iraqi oil. A greater % of Addax's reserves were in countries outside of Iraq.
