Fishdog,

One other thing to think about is getting a good cement job. If they drilled that other 1122 ft., they may have to two stage the cement to cover the top zone and take a chance on not getting a 100% bond.

A lot safer to set a liner on that zone and then if they want, drill deeper at any time.
