#41895 RE: JLS #41883

JLS,

What's NR7? Also, have you ever read Jea Yu? He works with multiple moving averages. You might like his book, "Secrets of the Underground Trader."

Hurst moving averages are NOT delayed. They are displaced forward and when they are applied to an issue that works well with Hurst, are superb in accuracy. He called them FLD's and they are NOT in his seminal book on the stock market, but are in his 3 volume course. They work in conjunction with other components of the system, and each is integral to the other.

I play SPY primarily, and sometimes I think that I am working with an issue that doesn't work well with Hurst because Hurst cycles are based on 3-4, 6-7, 13-14, 25, 50, etc., cycles, and I believe the SPY/SPX cycle is based on a dominant 10-11 day cycle. Nevertheless it's a superb system, and when the cycles seems off, there are ways to call in your bets.

It called the 4.5 year low almost to the penny.

Before one dismisses Hurst, one must read the 3 volume course. Another great facet of Hurst cosmology is most people dismiss it. I'm sure you'll understand what I mean here.
