Steve was asked how much they could get out of the current Avid facilities. His answer was - somehwere between $40 and $50 million. Then they would need to move into the facility next door. Chris Eso said that they already have been making plans for the facility next door and that the plans include "stages" whereby they put in the necessary a/c, electrical, etc. for the full facility, but just add reactor/clean room space (the major $'s) as needed.
On the issue of "seed batches" for gov't, I don't know. But, remember, PPHM is a "niche" contract manufacturer aimed primarily at development scale. Joe Shan put up a slide showing how our new collaboration is supposed to work whereby PPHM does development batches and if/once the product goes big time, our partner does the large scale manufacturing.
