I've been thinking this for a while now, but you're the first person to acknowledge it. Everyone is talking about how corrupt the government is, but they all just assume the judge has to be on the up and up. I'm NOT a conspiracy theorist by any means, but lets' be honest, judges are bribed/coerced/intimidated all the time. This is a HUGE case, with billions and billions of dollars at stake. I'm not saying anything shady will go on with the judge, but to act like it COULDN'T is pretty naive, IMO.
And I also agree with your remark about the takeover. People mention how outrageous it is that WAMU got screwed over as bad as they did, as many times as they did, then say that WAMU will obviously win their case because of that. Perhaps. Or perhaps it just means they can get screwed over yet again when it comes to the rulings? We shall see. I for one wouldn't be at all surprised to see them get away with it yet again. I hope I'm wrong...
