I finally understand what your secular bear means. As boomers flee the market in droves, i realize that they will never return. For myself as the oldest or original boomer, i hang on to the dream of your summer rally to create a point for me to get out. I would not get back in until your next rally call. Hope is to get out at 1800 and buy back qqq, spy, diamonds, smh etc. at 1200 and repeat same. But for most boomers, they are gone. So demographic valuations are now counteracted by fear of poverty at retirement.
Having said all of this i still think we are in for a powerful rally(if the banks dont do us in)fueled by cheap money, perhaps a big rate cut(any day), new tech for fed govt starting in october, new tech for private sector in '03 replacing 1999 stuff, record productivity fueled intitially by no pay increases and increasing unemployment,higher export because of devalued dollar and a massive switch in positions by the hedge funds as they wipe out the shorts. This is what the turnips are telling you me thinks. mike
