Unfortunately, in closing my shorts yesterday I covered JPM. The rest are above my cover prices (for the moment) but JPM is still declining - I shouldn't complain, though, since all were nice profits.

Like I said last night, in this kind of market decline I find any postive opening to be suspect, and look for a G&C, which looks like will happen again this morning.

Can anyone explain to me why the banks should be spared going to back to pre-1998 levels (and really 1995, and really earlier), when the rest of the market seems to be going/has already gone back to pre-1998 (and well before)..

Would seem weird/illogical if this bear spared anything..therefore, looks like the banks have a long ways to fall, no?
