In my heart I hope that the COB position has been left vacant on purpose. Perhaps we are waiting for the "right" person. Magical thinking asside, if I were negotiating a deal with a large BP, I would add that carrot to the stick.
My greatest fear is that Swartz appoints himself. Then, for sure, I will know that the share holders are not relevant.
Yet... the science marches on. The phase 11's suggest positive results. We have done all this on a shoestring, and 13 years later, this company is still moving forward. Their is very little bad news, and I think over all great progress has been made. The fact that no one is going out of their way to tell the story is infuriating.
I've often thought about doing my own PR on the company and writing large news papers and sharing some of their most recent results.
I would think that any news organization would jump to tell a story about a person living 8 1/2 years after getting a novel brain cancer treatment, when the median survival time is more like 6 months. I just don't know if it's legal.
For now, like everyone else, I wait.
