I'll probably kick myself for writing this, but....
I'm slowly getting cautiously optimistic that at the end of the day the election won't be that close, at least electorially speaking. Kerry will win this thing handily if the organizations backing him actually do get out the voters that they have newly registered.
But then the question will be, as many on the other board say when they buy a falling knife, do we really want it?
It is such a colossal mess out there that no one will be able to really fix it with help from Bush's "higher father," i.e., something of a miracle. We are still only seeing the tip of the iceberg in terms of the economic and political imbalances that exist in the world right now, and Bush has only exacerbated them.
