And in this regard, the Democrats and the Republicans have worked hand in glove. In fact, it is the US military and intelligence establishment which has provided continuity in US foreign policy."

Al-Qaeda and OBL were created by Zbigniew Brzezinski, Warren Christopher, et al, trained, and funded starting during the Jimmie Earl administration. Carter signed on. No amount amount of denying this will change this fact.

In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct?

Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979.
