#4031 RE: DewDiligence #4020

Dew,

Your mind is like a steel trap, that post was months ago!

Frivolous, you don't know the half of it till you read the LA Times version of the last days of the trial. Dr. Klein, who appears to be frail and perhaps unwell, was personally embarassed (we are all mortal, and Leo Indianer did read his slides when he was a dermatologist). When people with empty lives and lotsa dough to throw around, these excesses will happen.

And what of those with real problems and no insurance or HMO insurance. A friend needs a hysterectomy, cannot go to her physician since Cedars-Sinai doesn't like HMO patients. She is willing and abe to pay the $50,000 it would cost with her private physician at Cedars. The hospital doesn't want to be stuck with the overage if "complications arise".

Re-insurance is probably the cheapest insurance hospitals can buy.

Her OBGYN is second best in the west. No ca, just a straightforward operation that cannot be done with a laparascope because of a large fibroid.

Best regards to you and Nancy.
