The Global unit may be the one that licenses out any patents on algae research that BEHL has. Or anyone that has patents that is looking to partner in with what Fish is trying to build.
From wikipedia:
Intellectual property (IP) is a number of distinct types of legal monopolies over creations of the mind, both artistic and commercial, and the corresponding fields of law.[1] Under intellectual property law, owners are granted certain exclusive rights to a variety of intangible assets, such as musical, literary, and artistic works; ideas, discoveries and inventions; and words, phrases, symbols, and designs. Common types of intellectual property include copyrights, trademarks, patents, industrial design rights and trade secrets in some jurisdictions.
So BEHL transfers in the pending patents to Global. They continue to service and grab more contracts. How does Global make money? BEHL has to pay Global to use the patents.
This would allow SGT to transfer in their patent and allow the investors of SGT to reap profits from BEHL's fees. The bonus shares of Global would allow BEHL to retain profits from Fisher's work in building an algae conglomerate while SGT investors would get shares to match their equity in SGT.
Yes? No? Maybe?
