The claim that it is 65nm has not been confirmed by Intel that I know of. If it actually is, it may or may not be the lead vehicle. There could be another and it might or might not be dual core(?). While other sources are quoted as saying it (Yonah) will appear relatively soon, "relatively soon" is relative. Nevertheless, AMD's claim that they will be far ahead of Intel with a mid'05 dual core intro may be a bit speculative on their part, both in terms of when they will actually ship and where Intel will be at that time as well. Also, I don't remember seeing Intel say that this is the only dual core product they have been working on, nor have they said it is the first. We all know about the recent Itanium dual core demo, and another x86 dual core demo at IDF. If Yonah just taped out then that demo wasn't Yonah.
