Only for a DCB here, though it has reached the bottom of the range suggested earlier in the week. The second shoe has dropped, but we have not seen yet the kind of litigations that might be involved. They are talking about some 27,000 cases associated with Vioxx, but the question is how many of these would have had heart problems anyhow.

I think it is time the FDA start and implement a test of "safety and efficacy" against the best medicine in existence, rather than against placebo. I also think that the last ten years of drug advertising causes physicians, under patient pressure to oversubscribe drugs. It is time to get back to the old days without advertising and le physicians do their work without the pressure from their patients to give them this or another drug.

Last, Bayer's statin drug was withdrawn, both MRK and PFE have major statins, and we may find that the blocking of enzyme Q10 production in the liver by all statins, has long term effects on the heart and arteries, another future shoe to drop.

Apart of opportunistic bounces, for now, I am staying away from both.
