Migo, why is it B.S.?
Sometimes things aren't so simple. Christ professed that we turn the other cheek, but do you propose we do the same, when a group of people like AQ are hell bent on killing as many Americans as they possibly can?
I really wish there was an alternative, but I can't think of any. I believe I adhere to the tenants of Christ as a general rule, but I also think that, as a country, we should be proactive in saving the lives of our citizens from harm.
Maybe we could have done that in Afghanistan without going to war - I'll grant you that possibility. But given that the Taliban was made of people as radicalized as AQ themselves, and they were helping to fund AQ as an organization, then how can you justify having rational discussions as a peaceful alternative to overthrowing thier governance?
I'd like to give you an opportunity to tell me a better solution, but if you have nothing but hateful retorts for me, then I don't want to continue this conversation.
