All that nasty timing did was make sure they got their well deserved E. Many companys get an E for a short period of time. The suspension was for suspected criminal activities via security regulation infringements and has nothing to do with late filing.
Carp, I agree with you that the timing totally stunk. It just seems to me that there should be someway for a company to foresee that they will be required to do a reaudit of previous filings. Seems like it could be stated when they (the accounting board) announces that a firm lost it's licence. Something like 'audits performed by firm X after date Y must be reaudited'.
