I am giving you his side of it. We are all sick of it, the drama the SEC FILINGS ON FRIDAY, the wasted time. SA will likely take a while longer but is enrolling new patients , I think they are holding it out of the deal process for now. It can be written in a certain way or negotiated later. Or they can choose after the data to hang on to it. I said a while back we'd be in for better times when it stays over .30 for a while.

Jerry, I asked Dew about the 5% rule a few minutes ago (see below). Perhaps someone here on the Cortex thread might also have some insights.

>>> Dew, I had a question concerning the 5% ownership rule -

When entity-X holds 5% or more of company-Y's stock, entity-X has to disclose this in a filing with the SEC. But does company-Y also have to disclose this info via an SEC filing?

Institutional holdings are listed over on Yahoo, but the info is only updated infrequently (quarterly). Is there a way to find out more quickly when an entity has taken a 5% stake in a company?

Thanks for any insights. <<<

Jerry, One other thing, any idea where on the East Coast Varney was during your conversation? (if it was a phone conversation, the area code would give us a clue, and might suggest which company) :o)

Jerry, thanks for sharing the info. I find it hard to believe that mutual funds/hedge funds/institutional investors are interested in investing in a 19 cent stock. Am I wrong? I think it's just a bunch of clowns trying to make a quick buck that has been doing the buying. Whoever is buying, anyway, the immediate stock price will be determined by the outcome of all that is going on at Cortex now.

Most of our posting here is redundant. What is going to happen is going to happen. Whatever MV, Roger, etc., can get done is what is going to get done.

Jerry, Just wondering - did Varney actually say he was on the East Coast to meet with a potential partner? I was thinking that the other possible reason for being on the East Coast might be for that AMEX delisting/appeal meeting, which I calculated to be sometime prior to approx Oct 11 (45 days from the approx Aug 27 request for the hearing).

Anyway, if it's a meeting with a partner, it would be interesting to find out if it's in the Boston area, NYC, Phila, Baltimore, or N.Carolina, etc. Maybe someone could stake out the airport near Irvine and see what his flight number was, lol. Yes, a crazy idea, but I remember hearing about hedge fund guys pretending to be docs and hanging around clinical trial sites to get the inside scoop on efficacy trends.
