I agree. The announcement didn't have to happen this morning, just as long as it's before 11/23. If the 30 to 45 day timeline holds, we will know before November. It makes sense to have authorized shares ready (like a line of credit), even if they are never used. If we have good news soon, with SP appreciation and Cortex needs money a year from now for anything, the request for additional authorized shares at that time would pull the SP down, before a PIPE, which causes even more dilution to attempt to raise the same money. GFP was calling for them to raise the authorized shares a few months ago. If they do have positive news coming in the next few weeks, the timing of this request is more than justified.
