Singaporeans who bought structured notes tied to bankrupt U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers Holding Co. may recover what remains of their investments after receiver PricewaterhouseCoopers gained control of the notes' underlying assets, Reuters reports Thursday. PwC, acting on behalf of local buyers of the "Minibonds," said it has reached a deal with Lehman Brothers Special Financing Inc, the swap counterparty for the notes, to take over the assets. The firm said it will liquidate the assets over the next few months and pass whatever money is raised - it didn't make an estimate - to affected investors.
