I’m surprised no one commented on the scam indicator in #msg-41917348.

I think it’s impressive that such a simple metric with no opportunity for subjective interpretation was able to flag eight biotech scams, including some of the most notorious ever perpetrated.

I have a question for the board, why do scam companies make such great long trades? HEB for instance shot up from 34 cents to 4.50, but MNTA has moved up from 4.68 to 20.00. Just taking the lowest to highest trade.

It is typical for a scam company to shoot up faster and a larger percentage gain than most any other type of stock. Now I know sooner or later they will fail, but as a trade they make spectacular gains. And as a short they tend to stay up a lot longer than most would think possible.

The question is, why does this happen to scam companies?
