Yogi, you forgot some numbers:
Creditors get first 13 or so billion (maybe more with interest).
Preferred shares get next 3.5 to 4 billion (maybe more with dividends).

It is my understanding, based upon information and belief, that a lot of senior debts and obligations are not due until years from now. If WMI wins (regardless of the size of the award) there should be enough capital left over, after paying off short term debts and obligations, to push the value of common shares significantly higher. And there is also the $20 billion of NOL's that will help too!
