that would certainly be a bullish way to go imo. essentially, any flippers in the stock would just be slowly chased out, and then the real move would begin from a much higher base.

And if you think about it, when the company buys back their shares there going to want the price to go up too.... It just makes sense on so many levels that the aquis will be announced after the buyback...
