I am not even from the U.S. and I would switch to WAMU if they open there doors back up. I would definitely put my profit into a CD there and just withdraw from it time to time as I visit. :) GO WAMU!
Yes, it sounds like they had a lot of loyal customers. As far as the bad loans, I think most banks were doing the same thing in order to compete. It's like once it started, you had to join. Didn't Fanny and Freddy start the practice? lol
