You may want to look at Energy Conversion Devices, ENER;
a fascinating company. Its thinly traded, and has been battered like everything else. I vaguely recall Zeev playing this (i may be wrong). They are "real", with lots of cutting edge stuf and MAY have a foothold in the hydrogen storage area IF they can get their inventions out of the lab. They are also working on a proprietary fuel cell and have some unique photovoltaic products and their oft talked about project with intel on their "ovonic memory".
I've been in love wth this comps science..but that doesnt make a great stock. If you do the reearch on them it would seem they have tons of potential and it could be a ten bagger... over time, but management seems weak on public relations and creating the right image. ENER Chief stempel (ex CEO GM) comes across as dull!!!! (although honest and dull is preffered to your typical ceo these days.) One would think Stempels ties to GM would be a plus.
A partial buy in by Texaco last year seemed to be the positive turning point..but Mr. market has said otherwise...I'm tempted to pick up more myself at these prices. One intereting note....with Ballard sinking, ENER is now trading above BLDP for the first time (i think)
