OT:RedSox--I root for the Red Sox, yes.
But i originate from Philadelphia area and my real passion is for all teams Philly:) But i am surrounded up here with passionate Red Sox fans.
I didn't think fans could snap back this year but they all now infused with hope and "this is the year".
Curt Schilling is a major favorite of mine as he was for years a Phillie.
I will say this, when in the playoff they have to go with Schilling over Pedro for first game in playoffs or World Series.
When Phillies blew the lead and lost game in bottom of the ninth to BlueJays in 6th gane of that world series, the agony was Schilling was to pitch the 7th game ; Schilling does not lose games like that---he would have pitched a shutdown quite likely.
I saw Berman on NYC-NBC show the last pith of all 14 stikes in that game with Orioles and Berman said he would bet that what you saw(all 14 striking out swinging) is an alltime record.
When Schilling fast ball is diving, it is just plain unhittable.
A comment, and i have agreement with a passionate Red Sox fan.
Pedro had his stuff in the 8th inning in game 6 (or was it game 7)last year but by the 8th inning the Yankees have gotten their timing down on Pedro.
I hope Pedro has developed a change of pace since last year, because his lack of one i feel is why teams get to him in late innings, sometimes.
Biggest worry now is Foulkes, Red Sox can't have him with a tired arm going into playoffs.
If Schilling does what i expect him to do, and Pedro can keep a pace with Schilling, and Foulkes can close, i think Red Sox are going to the world series.
