1998 the low was October 8:

In 1997 we did plunge into expiration, but we had a high the Wed prior to expiration, so we dumped into and through Max Pain most likely.

October 2002 we hit the lows on the 10th of October and moved up 20% on the COMP by expiration the following week:

What I'm suggesting is that unless we get a ton of calls opened up at the QQQ 34 strike and lots of puts closed at the 35 QQQ strike, that 35 QQQ / NDX 1400 area should be a magnet for October expiration.
