Aiming - what I don't understand is - if "someone" is willing to pay 20+ cents, why don't they deal with the company directly and pay 17 cents instead (with free warrants too!)

Things just don't add up to me.

Good question. We were wondering the same thing after the April financing, when those shares were being gobbled up. For those 8.7 mil shares back then, all I can say is that the main buyers probably weren't the institutional holders listed on Yahoo, since the largest owner there (other than BAM) only had 375 K shares as of 6-30-09.

So I guess it must be some combination of institutions like private equity, hedge funds, bio mutual funds, plus some individuals, and perhaps some of these entities buy through subsidiaries / intermediaries. Bottomline, someone has been picking up a ton of shares.

Maybe Jim Haynes decided to get back in, to the tune of 20 mil shares :o)
