ever since i started buying spng in late april of 09, but it is wierd becauce there are other penny stocks where i can place an online order without having to call it in.

I transferred my account from Scottrade 6/24/09 because they charged a % for a penny stock trade.. Same with Fidelity.. Doesn't matter which stock - all are charged this %. They told me that penny stocks are volatile and they charge this extra % for penny stocks.. My cost for the 66k shares was over $640..

They used to require callin then returned to normal order processing.
The RS has them worried about "abnormal volatility"

I think the real answer is that they are going to be on the hook as broker on record for many of the NNS

I bought thru Scottrade on 8-28 and 8-31 without calling my order in. I appears at this time there is no restriction on trades for SPNG.

I bought my first shares at .07 in the spring and I didn't have to call in and I'm with scottrade.
