Yeah, the DTCC sends out advisories on stocks that they flag as problematic or trading suspiciously. Scottrade kicks the Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware up a notch by restricting buying on BBDA. The huge volume and sudden price spike was most likely manufactured by some insiders and promoters trying to dump shares of BBDA and get people to buy in at inflated prices. Usually the DTCC will spot a buy/sell wash trend and flag it if it's obvious. They could also have a clearing problem if many new shares were issued and never deposited.
They'll most likely release the restriction since volume's back to normal unless there's a more serious problem. Who knows with these pos's.
