cannot get real-time Canadian quotes via Schwab, but I do get US$14.95 commissions on all my Canadian stock trades. usually the Canadian market maker that takes my Schwab orders is First Associates... For example, that was my 900 share sell of KGI at 15:58 @ C$4.91
