Chemtura's assets greater than liabilities & $1.34 BV, or there abouts... whereas WCIMQ (The "Premium" Home-builder WCI) most likely had liabilites greater than assets with negative book value... IMO
Remember Chemtura has to keep the commons intact to carry forward the NOL's. They are making a profit now so it is in their interest to keep the NOL's and common. And I don't remember the exact details but the way Chemtura wrote some BK documents, perhaps in regards to ownership of stock, it was with the intent to sustain the NOL'S. And heck, what assurance is there when you invest in stocks, especially bankrupt ones?
