Vendit,

You stated it best:

I see the above set of rules much like this country in it's beginning. States split off and fought the central governing body to govern themselves while allowing an ULTIMATE authority to have final say so in the event that a state gets too far off course (topic).

That is my central thought...I've just never been able to put it perfectly in words. You did it!

I figure that, somewhere deep inside of everybody we can all act like adults/professionals. Do a little "refining" of the RBers and we can have a self-goverened site. But with an ultimate authority. Just like the USA!

We'll see how it pans out. I'm always looking for new ideas. We come out of BETA testing Feb 15th!

By the way, before you guys showed up, we had a sorta kinda new "ad system" that I designed. We ended up getting a lot of traffic, so I had to shut it off (wasn't big enough!). You guys are a pretty vocal group :-), so when I cut it back on in the next few days, I'm gonna jump over here for some opinions on it. I think you will like it. No images! If not, I'll modify it.

mb

P.S. Vendit, I have Gary the webmaster working on the deal with your askresearch charts..Should have that wrapped up pretty soon.

>>Bera, Cisco is a valued and trusted friend of mine.<<

ROFLMMTO! Reid did you forget who you are talking too? You boys are just too much. Brothers talking about each other in the third person is just too much for me.<g> I bet Christmas dinner is a real hoot at yours and Cisco's house.

BTW, ROTFLMMTO is rolling on the floor laughing my monkey's tail off in case you didn't get it.

>>Matt has further told me that I and other thread creators here also could terminate in sorts, a poster who is obviously a troublemaker on said thread in the near future.<<

Does this include primates?

I think I saw the same movie! Wasn't it call The Planet of the Apes? I still don't understand how those big dumb apes became the ULTIMATE authority over us anthropoid apes (i.e. chimpenzees). It still seems unrealistic that size should win out over intelligence!
